Challenge 475

My car has a built in hard disc drive. It's pretty great, actually. If you aren't familiar, it just means that I can upload a shit-ton of songs right into my car radio. I don't have to keep CDs in my car or plug my iPod in anymore. Granted, I'm more inclined to listen to my satellite radio than anything else, but it's still pretty great to have the majority of my music collection right there, accessible at any time.

Yesterday I wanted to hear a specific song (at this point I can't even remember which one) so I went searching.  I realized I had 475 songs stored in my car. I guessing that I haven't really listened to half of them in the [almost] 2 years I've had this car.

So I challenged myself. I'm going to listen to every single song I've uploaded - from start to finish.

From System of a Down to Frank Sinatra, Tool to Casey Chambers, Keith Urban, They Might Be Giants, Pavement, OAR, Tori Amos, Metallica, Robert Plant, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Missy Higgins, Janis Joplin and everyone in between....I'm going to listen to them all. In alphabetical order by song. That way, all the artists are mixed up and I can't get sick of one of them.

As I got home from work this afternoon, I was listening to song #18 of 475.

I've got a way to go. I'm curious how long this will take. (Listening to nothing else, but this list, as long as I'm the only one in the car. I won't bore others with this challenge.)

I'll keep you posted on my progress...silly or not :)
